Family estate with deep roots in Western Jutland

History and Tradition
Kølhede is a family-owned business where the estate has played a role in the local community dating back to 1556. Since 1983, the farm has been engaged in pig production. In 2020, Morten Poulsen took over operations as part of a generational transition. The transition between generations is not just about ensuring the company’s continued operation, but also about passing on knowledge, experience, and responsibility from one generation to the next.

Generational Transition and Responsibility

Sustainable Operations with Care
At Kølhede, we focus on ensuring sustainable operation of our farm. Through strong family values and a shared passion for agriculture, we work every day to create responsibly produced food. Production is carried out with consideration for people, animals, and the environment, so that both current and future generations can benefit from a living farm.

Daily Life on the Farm
We take special pleasure in working with nature and watching things grow. It’s part of everyday life to sow grain, watch potatoes sprout, and monitor the harvest as it approaches. The same applies to our pig breeding. The sense of creating something biological is a driving force that has followed the family through generations.
